A meeting was held in Tokyo between the leadership of the International University for the Humanities and Development and the President of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Haruna Nobuo, during which current issues and prospective areas for the further advancement of bilateral interuniversity cooperation were comprehensively examined.

It was highlighted that participation in international educational initiatives contributes substantially to the development of professional competencies, the enhancement of foreign language proficiency, familiarization with contemporary educational approaches, and the strengthening of intercultural dialogue among the youth of the two countries.
Special reference was also made to the activities of the Global Japan Office, which has operated at the International University for the Humanities and Development since 2016. It was emphasized that the Office plays a pivotal role in fostering Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in the fields of education, culture, and the humanities. Through the implementation of educational, informational, and cultural initiatives, the Global Japan Office facilitates expanded collaboration with leading Japanese higher education institutions, strengthens academic networks, promotes the Japanese language and culture, and creates additional opportunities for students and faculty members in the areas of international exchange and professional development.
The parties additionally exchanged views on the implementation of modern educational technologies, the digitalization of the educational process, and the advancement of research activities. The importance of expanding contacts between faculty members and researchers of the two universities was underscored, alongside the necessity of intensifying joint efforts in organizing international scientific seminars, conferences, and educational events.
During the negotiations, the significance of interuniversity cooperation as an important factor in strengthening Turkmen-Japanese relations in the humanitarian and educational spheres was particularly emphasized. Representatives of both institutions expressed confidence that the continued development of the partnership would contribute to the preparation of competitive specialists equipped with contemporary knowledge and international experience.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in the consistent expansion of cooperation, the implementation of new joint projects, and the further consolidation of partnership relations founded upon the principles of mutual respect, trust, and a shared commitment to the development of long-term and effective interuniversity collaboration.
