IUHD students achieved impressive victories at SEEMOUS-2024

International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) students showcased their mathematical prowess and clinched top honors at the 18th South Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad for University Students with International Participation (SEEMOUS-2024). The event, held from April 9 to April 14, 2024, in Iași, Romania, saw IUHD students securing prestigious medals, affirming their excellence in the field.

Organized by the Mathematical Society of South Eastern Europe, "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iași, and Romanian Mathematical Society, SEEMOUS-2024 drew participation from more than 100 students representing 27 universities across 9 countries. The Olympiad, conducted at "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University, aimed to foster mathematical talent among undergraduate students.

The IUHD team, comprising Medine Odayeva, Nurmyrat Atayev, Myratgeldi Annamuhammedov, Azymgeldi Shyhov, and Dovletmyrat Esenov demonstrated exceptional skills in solving mathematical problems. Under the supervision of Pirmyrat Gurbanov and Myrat Chashemov, the students tackled the challenges posed during this International Math Olympiad.

IUHD's success at SEEMOUS-2024 was highlighted by their remarkable medal tally:

- Medine Odayeva: Gold Medal

- Nurmyrat Atayev: Silver Medal

- Myratgeldi Annamuhammedov: Silver Medal

- Azymgeldi Shyhov: Bronze Medal

- Dovletmyrat Esenov: Bronze Medal

The achievement underscores IUHD's consistent performance in international mathematical competitions. In previous editions of SEEMOUS, IUHD students have demonstrated their proficiency, securing top positions and contributing to the university’s academic reputation.

Overall, students from Higher Education Institutions of Turkmenistan, including IUHD, amassed a total of 17 medals (1 gold, 7 silver, 9 bronze), further solidifying their accomplishments in the mathematical arena.

Established in 2007, SEEMOUS serves as a platform for collaboration among mathematical communities across South Eastern Europe. By fostering cooperation and promoting academic excellence, SEEMOUS aims to enhance the region's mathematical landscape and nurture future mathematical talent.

IUHD extends heartfelt congratulations to its Math Team for their outstanding performance at SEEMOUS-2024. Their dedication, perseverance, and exemplary achievements are a testament to IUHD's commitment to academic excellence. The IUHD community wish them continued success in their academic pursuits and endeavors.
