In our independent and eternally neutral Motherland, under the wise leadership of our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, care for the youth has become a vital part of state policy. Reflecting this care through their diligent efforts, our studious youth continue to demonstrate their remarkable skills in various talent competitions. Furthermore, our country organizes numerous international Olympiads and competitions to strengthen international relations and bolster the friendship of nations.

Thanks to this large-scale work, our capital, Ashgabat, has become the center of yet another major scientific event. From March 23 to 28, 2026, the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) solemnly hosted the VI Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS-2026).

This international competition brought together young mathematicians from various corners of the globe, including university students from:

The Federal Republic of Germany

The Republic of Greece

The Republic of Hungary

The Islamic Republic of Iran

The Kingdom of the Netherlands

The Russian Federation

The Republic of Tajikistan

The United Arab Emirates

The Republic of Uzbekistan

The competitions were held in individual and team categories (Categories A and B). The jury consisted of experienced professors and teachers from leading higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad.

In accordance with the regulations, each participating university submitted five problems along with detailed solutions to the organizing committee twenty days prior to the event. To ensure the highest academic standards, only original problems with previously unpublished solutions were accepted. The committee also considered submissions from independent experts and universities not directly competing in the Olympiad.

The organizer, IUHD, provided every condition for the comfortable rest and effective preparation of students and teachers. In their free time, guests enjoyed excursions to the sights of our white-marble capital and were introduced to the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people. A group of university student volunteers provided comprehensive support throughout the event.
