The Turkmen Delegation Explores Innovations at “School 21”

A Turkmen delegation, comprising the Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan, took part in a strategic session in Kazan titled: “Qualified IT Personnel as a Key Factor in a Competitive Economy and Advanced Development.”

 The event was held at the campus of “School 21” under the auspices of PJSC Sberbank. “School 21” is an educational initiative in programming and digital technologies supported by Sber, based on a peer-to-peer methodology and a practice-oriented approach. Participants develop programming skills through collaboration and the completion of real-world projects, contributing to the training of in-demand IT specialists and the development of human capital for the digital economy.

 The delegation’s program began with an introduction to the activities of the “School 21” campus. During the session, Y. Vershinina, Head of the “School 21” project in Kazan, presented the experience of implementing an innovative model for training highly qualified IT professionals. The presentation highlighted the key principles underlying the project’s educational concept and its role in shaping a modern workforce.

 The Vice-Rector and members of the delegation also took part in discussions, exchanging views on the development of IT education and emphasizing the importance of integrating modern approaches into the training of future specialists.

 The Turkmen side delivered a presentation showcasing best practices in the country’s vocational education system. It was noted that Turkmenistan has made significant progress in digitalization by integrating modern information and communication technologies into the educational process. Among the key achievements is the widespread use of digital learning platforms, providing access to educational resources and supporting the development of distance learning.

 As part of the visit, the delegation explored the Bashir Rameev Technopark, one of the region’s leading innovation hubs. Guests were introduced to advanced projects and technologies developed by the technopark’s residents and discussed opportunities for scientific and technical cooperation.

 Both sides emphasized the importance of the technopark as a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation development, and strengthening international cooperation in science and technology.

 The visit of the Turkmen delegation to Kazan marked an important step toward enhancing international collaboration in IT and digital technologies. The delegation highlighted the advanced educational practices of “School 21” and the potential of the Bashir Rameev Technopark, underscoring the importance of training highly qualified specialists for a competitive digital economy. The parties expressed their readiness to exchange experience and jointly implement innovative projects, opening new opportunities for technological advancement.
