The Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan held an online brain-ring competition among students of Turkmen universities on 14 September 2021. Four teams from the International University for Humanities and Development, Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and the D.Azady Turkmen National Institute of World languages took part in this contest. Each group consisting of 6 students have checked their knowledge on European Union. The jury panel included the diplomatic representatives of the EU member states to Turkmenistan, namely the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Neithart Höfer-Wissing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic H.E. Ms. Isabelle Guisnel and staff members of the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan. 6 students from International Law and International Relations Faculty of International University for the humanities and development were chosen to participate in this contest. Novruz Nurberdiyev from International Public Law 2, Abylesen Ashyrdurdyyev from International Public Law 2, Dovlet Gurbanow from International Public Law 3, Mahym Rejepova from International Relations and World Politics 2, Atajan Metjiyev from International Relations and World Politics 3, Kervenmyrat Myradov from International Relations and World Politics 4 have showed great performance in the competition and rised the honor of our University. The team was prepared by the Head of International Relations Department Yhlas Haldurdyyev. The contest was held in an online format, and in the English language. The main aim of this competition is to advance the professional knowledge of the students about international relations, international law, international organizations, and to enrich their worldview. During the competition the students were invited to answer different questions in five rounds about the establishment of EU, its Member States, economy, history, culture, EU institutions, foreign relations of EU, EU-Turkmenistan cooperation, gender equality and human rights. And in the final round the students were asked to give immediate answers to the true or false questions. After the final round the juries summed up the scores. According to the results of the competition the team of IUHD was declared as a Winner team with the highest score from the juries. The students of IUHD performed their great academic excellence and knowledge of our students was highly assessed by the jury members. “We are always very inspired when we work with you, we consider youth the driving force of the positive change. The winners and participants of the contest were awarded with Certificates and valuable prizes from the Delegation of the EU to Turkmenistan.
